SUMMARY:Baldwin County Youth Orchestra AUDITIONS
DESCRIPTION:Auditions for the BCYO are held during the week of our Summer Music Camp:  July 17-21.  Email Mr. Leroy Hughes at bcyorchestra@gmail.com to set up a time/day.  Students should be ready to play a piece of their choosing which shows their technical skill\, play no less than three scales of two octaves\, and be ready to sight rad from the music being performed in the Fall.  Auditions are generally still accepted AFTER the year begins but only for critically needed instruments.  Critical Need for Fall 2017:  Bassoons\, Clarinets\, Flutes\, French Horns\, and All Orchestral Strings Instruments.  \n\n \nThere are generally two major concerts each year:  The Fall concert is the Greig Piano Concerto in A Minor with Dr. Robert Holm as the pianist.  Concert date is November 28th at the Daphne Civic Center \n\n \n\nThe orchestra also attends the Alabama Orchestra MPA (last year received Superior Ratings)\, and a trip to Six Flags after MPA is being planned!
