DESCRIPTION:For a weekend of original music\, served with a side of bacon and shot of vodka\, the place to be is Old 27 Grill in Fairhope\, July 28-30. The open-air music festival\, featuring 18 local artists\, has quickly become a popular event to showcase homegrown talent in a fun\, family-friendly atmosphere. The three-day\, music celebration is sponsored by Bill E's Small Batch Bacon and Cathead Vodka. The festival grew out of the Bay Area Songwriters Association open-mic night\, which is held on the first and third Thursdays of each month on the deck of Old 27. The organization draws a mix of accomplished\, as well as developing songwriters. Six musicians are featured each night of the festival\, which continues from 7-10 pm on Friday\, Saturdayand Sunday.
