This will be one of the largest reenactments of Alabama's largest Civil War battle held in several years. The event will feature reenactments of the intense skirmishing which took place along the lines at Blakeley during the week-long siege of the fort in April of 1865 and the last grand charge of the Civil War which resulted in its capture will highlight the day's events. Also included will be guided tours of the park's battlefield\, weapons demonstrations\, and a special exhibit of artifacts associated with the fighting at Blakeley.
