Terry Burkle, Baldwin County Education Coalition’s Executive Director, will share how they are filling every school Care Closet with essential items for economically disadvantaged students. The Palm Project initiative is serving every public-school campus (47 schools) across Baldwin County and helps meet basic needs of our students so they can focus on what matters most, learning.
Terry Burkle is a twenty-two-year veteran of nonprofit management and education advocacy. For twelve years, Terry served as Vice President of the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation, serving ten schools in the Foley High School feeder pattern.
In July 2013, Terry was hired as the Executive Director of the Baldwin County Education Coalition, a coalition of the seven foundations, focusing on systemic initiatives that impact EVERY child. Their mission is to be a champion for public education in Baldwin County.
Terry is a 2006 graduate of the U S Chamber of Commerce Institute in Organizational Management and a 2013 graduate of Leadership Baldwin County.
