Bayside Academy Students Earn First-Place Awards at AISA State Visual Arts Competition

Daphne, Ala., May 4, 2026 – Bayside Academy had five students bring home First Place awards from the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA) State Visual Arts Competition. The state competition was held at Eastwood Christian School in Montgomery.

Alice Ogburn ’29:  1^st Place, Water Base (9^th–12^th Grade Division)
Violet Laymon ’38:  1^st Place, Painting (K–1^st Grade Division)
Mamie Powell ’38:  1^st Place, Photography (K–1^st Grade Division)
McGriff Walters ’38:  1^st Place, Drawing Non-Color (K–1^st Grade Division)
