Southern Cancer Center Welcomes Dr. Brittany Case

Daphne, AL- Southern Cancer Center is pleased to welcome medical oncologist, Dr. Brittany H. Case, to our practice beginning August 1, 2021. Dr. Case will see patients at our clinics on both sides of Mobile Bay, making her the only female medical oncologist available in Baldwin County.

An Alabama native, Dr. Case stayed close to home for her collegiate education and extensive medical training, receiving her degrees from universities within the state. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Troy University, completed the Rural Medicine Program at Auburn University, and then received her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine at Birmingham. Dr. Case continued her training in Mobile at the University of South Alabama Health System where she completed her internal medicine residency, and then served as chief resident for the university’s Internal Medicine Program. Most recently, she completed a hematology and oncology fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

“When looking for the practice that was the best fit, a good work environment and quality colleagues were two traits especially important to me. It means a lot to work in an environment where patient care comes first; and I immediately felt that at Southern Cancer Center,” said Dr. Case. “I’m excited to work in a place where everyone is striving to offer the best that we can to our patients. I’m looking forward to learning from my experienced partners and implementing my own knowledge and new ideas into our practice.”

Southern Cancer Center is the only community-based multidisciplinary oncology practice in lower Alabama. Comprised of 19 providers at six convenient locations across the area, we bring an integrated, team-based approach to cancer care. Utilizing collaboration, personalization and the most innovative treatment options available, we are effectively treating the whole patient, not just their cancer.

“We are excited to announce the addition of Dr. Brittany Case. She is a knowledgeable and incredibly compassionate physician, who is well-trained in all aspects of cancer therapy,” said Dr. Reece Jones, medical oncologist and vice president of Southern Cancer Center. “We are also very proud to have the only female medical oncologist in Baldwin County. This is quite overdue, and we are thrilled that patients will now have choices that have not been available to them in the past. The future of Southern Cancer Center has never been brighter.”
