The YMCA of South Alabama offers new sites for summer day camp registration

The YMCA of South Alabama announced new sites for 2025 summer day camp registration, providing local children with a summer of adventure, learning and personal growth.

Registration is now open at six locations across Mobile and Baldwin Counties, including off site locations in Elberta, Spanish Fort and Bay Minette, Alabama. Bounds Family YMCA in Daphne, Snook Family YMCA in Foley and North Mobile Family YMCA in Saraland will also host camps from May until August.

According to CEO Gwen Sommer, “YMCA summer day camps provide a safe and engaging environment where children can build confidence, develop character and stay active. With a variety of programs tailored to different interests, campers may learn independence, gain self-esteem, and embrace the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, and responsibility.”

Programs run Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m for seven to twelve weeks during the summer, depending on site. Due to its non-profit status, the YMCA offers day camp scholarships for those who qualify.

Spots are limited so parents are encouraged to contact their local branch, visit the YMCA of South Alabama on social media or visit www.ysal.org for program registration options and/or more information.
