2025 Veterans Day Parade & Luncheon

The Mobile Bay Area Veterans Commission invites your organization to participate in activities associated with the celebration of Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Your company or organization can participate in the Annual Veterans Day Parade and purchase tickets to the Honors Luncheon.

Apply now to participate in the 2025 Annual Veterans Day Parade! Each year, an assembly of floats, bands, flag details, military equipment, and marching units roll down the streets of Mobile on Veterans Day, honoring those who are currently serving and those who have served our nation.

Recognition of Veterans by the citizens of the Mobile Bay Area is a time-honored tradition, and participation by service personnel, veterans, and private citizens is visible proof that our community values the service of our veterans. The Mobile Bay Area Veterans Commission invites you and your organization to join us in the Annual Veterans Day Honors Luncheon to honor the Patriot of the Year and the Veteran of the Year.

This year’s Veteran of the Year is Colonel John F. Kilpatrick, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army National Guard and Army Reserve. John is the Founder and former CEO of Vets Recover, which is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) community-based substance abuse and mental wellness program developed specifically for veterans, by veterans.

The Patriot of the Year is Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., Chancellor of Troy University, and U.S. Marine
Corps. Hawkins has demonstrated a lifelong dedication to higher education in our great state of Alabama and around the world. Chancellor Hawkins has served as the catalyst for Troy’s evolution as an international institution.

The Luncheon follows the Veterans Day Parade and will be held at Fort Whiting Armory, 1630 S. Broad St., beginning at noon.
