DESCRIPTION:Guided instruction in the ancient Chinese healing practice of Qigong\, an ancestor of Tai Chi. This exercise combines slow\, low-impact\, methodical movement with deep breathing and visualization. It is believed it helps in improving health by lowering stress\, cholesterol\, and blood pressure\, assists in managing a variety chronic conditions\, and strengthens the immune system. Optional group hike after class. Our instructor\, Annie Allen\, is a certified Yoga/Qigong instructor who has been teaching people this practice for over a dozen years. She teaches this technique for the Baldwin County High Football team and serves as a Business Education teacher for the school. She is also a Spanish Court interpreter.
