Gulf Orthopaedics welcomes sports medicine physician, Gary “Sonny” Hodge, II, M.D.

Mobile, Ala. – Gary “Sonny” Hodge, II, M.D., joins Gulf Orthopaedics, an affiliate of Infirmary Health, following the completion of a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Hodge will focus on providing healthcare for athletes and physically active individuals. This includes non-operative care such as injury diagnosis, rehabilitation, manual treatment techniques, and orthobiologics.

Dr. Hodge is a graduate of Mississippi College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Medical Science. He earned his doctorate of medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at St. Vincent’s East while in Birmingham, AL. Additionally, he has served as a team physician for Samford University Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Birmingham-Southern College Men’s and Women’s Basketball, the University of West Alabama, and the University of Alabama.
