Progress Bank Opens Tuscaloosa Office | Hayes Named Tuscaloosa Market President

September 17, 2021 — The Board of Directors of Progress Bank, headquartered in Huntsville, AL, announced that it has received regulatory approval to open a Loan Production/Deposit Production Office in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This will be the Bank’s 12th office.

President and CEO, David Nast, said, “With the expansion of Progress Financial Services in Tuscaloosa earlier this year, we have been anxiously awaiting the right time to add our banking services in the area and are excited to be moving forward.” Brad Hayes will join the bank as Tuscaloosa Market President. “Brad will be an integral addition to our senior management team with his impressive background in banking. A native to Tuscaloosa, he provides valuable insight to the wants and needs of our clients in the area,” Nast added.

Hayes, a University of Alabama graduate, has 17 years of experience in banking in various roles ranging from branch management to commercial banking throughout central Alabama. Community involvement has also been an important part of his career, serving on the board for Junior Achievement, supporting the United Way and Kulture City, and teaching financial literacy at K12, the University of Alabama and Samford. Brad and his wife, Thao, have been married for 23 years and have two college-age children both studying dentistry.

The interim bank office will soon be in operation at The Tuscaloosa Galleria at 1661 McFarland Boulevard N, Tuscaloosa, AL 35406. The bank’s permanent home, located at 2529 12th Street, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401, is under construction and is planned to be completed in 2022. It will include our full suite of services from Wealth Management to Mortgage Services.
